300gsm Unidirectional Fabrics

300gsm Unidirectional (UD) tapes are typically used as caps in highly loaded beam structures such as aircraft spars and yacht masts. The range comprises woven 12K Toray T700 fabric and stitched 50K Zoltek PX35 fabric. The woven fabric is thermofixed and has a glass weft insert that improves the ability to infuse this product, while the thermofixing provides stability when cutting narrow tapes. The stitched PX35 fabric uses a ±60° veil on one face to aid infusion resin flow. The standard width is 500mm, but tapes can be slit from this width without falling apart. The tapes are sold per linear meter.
