Web filament spray adhesive
Aerosol tack sprays, also known as spray adhesives, are commonly used in composite processing to temporarily bond layers of material together during the layup process, typically prior to resin infusion. The spray is formulated for use with most resin systems, including epoxy, polyester, styrene, and vinyl-ester resins. Web filament projection avoids the formation of a continuous film of adhesive, thereby allowing the bonded areas to remain permeable to the suction of the volatiles and the passage of the resin. Web filament adhesives are also suitable for bonding large, flat surfaces together, such as attaching skin to a foam core in a sandwich structure. The spray is pigmented to aid even application.
