Record Resin Infusion Training in Cape Town
This month we hosted a record number of resin infusion training sessions at our new Cape Town training centre. From individuals expanding their composites knowledge to company teams upskilling their staff, turnout was excellent, and the feedback, overwhelmingly positive.
Highlights from the sessions included:
- Practical insights into Darcy’s Law: fibre resistance vs. resin viscosity
- The real savings infusion offers in time, cost, and weight
- A misunderstood risk: water under vacuum
- Just 1 ml of liquid water = ~1.3 L of vapour
- That vapour can seriously affect laminate quality
We discussed the importance of correct fabric storage, degassing, and performing a proper vacuum drop test – small steps that make a big difference in infusion outcomes.

Expanding Our Foam Processing Plant to Serve You Better
We’re pleased to share that we’ve begun a major expansion of our foam processing plant, backed by our partners at Biesterfeld.
Earlier this year, we introduced scrim processing, which created the need for more space and a smarter layout. This expansion will:
- Improve workflow and turnaround times
- Enhance our ability to deliver cut sheets and custom solutions
- Provide room for future services like CNC kitting
While construction is underway, it’s business as usual – we’ve stockpiled cut sheets to prevent any disruption to your supply.
This investment reflects our commitment to:
- Reliable, uninterrupted deliveries
- Faster order processing
- Future-ready capabilities for our customers
We expect to complete the expansion by December 2025, and we look forward to showing you what’s next.
