October was a month of meaningful connections. From international partner visits and major renewable energy conversations at Windaba, to the opening of our new Cape Town head office. Here’s what’s been happening at Aerontec:
Global Expertise, Local Solutions: Partner Visits in SA
In a strong display of global collaboration, Aerontec recently welcomed valued international partners from Sicomin Epoxy Systems (France) and Vision Composites (UK).
Marc Denjean and Matthieu Chaloin of Sicomin joined our team on a technical roadshow across Gauteng, Jeffreys Bay, and Cape Town — sharing the latest updates on:
- SR740 structural adhesive
- SR810 infusion epoxy system
These versatile products offer excellent mechanical performance for both marine and aerospace applications. Beyond the product updates, the visit reinforced Sicomin’s longstanding partnership, including their participation in our new Cape Town office opening.
We also hosted Alex Lee from Vision Composites, who engaged with local customers on feedback, new developments in spray adhesives, and future opportunities in the South African composites space.
Powering the Future: Aerontec at Windaba 2025
The 14th Windaba Conference in Cape Town saw industry leaders come together to shape the future of wind energy in Africa.
Representing Aerontec, Arno Seyfert (Product Manager: Bergolin Coatings) connected with key partners on how advanced coatings can increase turbine durability and reduce maintenance cycles.
With over 100 years of innovation, Bergolin continues to lead in high-performance coatings, aligning with Aerontec’s commitment to sustainable, long-lasting composite solutions in the renewables sector.
Cape Town Office Opening: Building for the Future
This month marked a major milestone: the official opening of Aerontec’s new Cape Town head office, right next door to our former premises.
The new facility includes:
- A fully equipped training centre, already hosting over 50 attendees
- A shared Biesterfeld laboratory, enhancing technical support
- Improved space and resources for better customer service
This investment reflects our long-term vision to grow capabilities and provide comprehensive composite solutions from one central hub in the Western Cape.
