Hey there,
Operational improvements in manufacturing often happen quietly in the background.
Systems evolve, infrastructure improves, and support environments become more integrated, while the day-to-day people and technical relationships remain exactly the same.
At the same time, South Africa’s wind energy sector continues to mature, bringing growing focus to long-term blade maintenance, repair planning and dependable material availability.
This month, we’re sharing an important Aerontec infrastructure update, along with insight into how the local wind energy maintenance market continues to develop.
Same Aerontec Team. New Email Domain.
As part of Aerontec’s continued integration into the Biesterfeld Group, our email addresses have changed from:
@aerontec.co.za to @biesterfeld.com
This is an IT and infrastructure change only. Customers will continue working with the same Aerontec people, receiving the same technical support, and dealing with the same composites team they already know.
For a transition period, existing Aerontec email addresses will continue to function to help ensure communication remains uninterrupted. However, we ask customers and suppliers to update their records, including saved contacts, ERP systems, procurement portals and accounts payable contact details, where applicable.
There is no change to the Aerontec team or our day-to-day customer support structure. This move simply aligns Aerontec more closely with the broader Biesterfeld Group infrastructure and support environment.
If you have any questions about the transition, please contact your usual Aerontec representative.
Supporting South Africa’s Wind Energy Maintenance Market
Aerontec continues to support South Africa’s wind energy sector by supplying specialist composite repair materials, technical support and reliable local stockholding for blade repair and maintenance operations.
Following a recent visit to the Energy X Change trade fair in Gqeberha, one message from the market was consistent: as more wind energy assets move into long-term service, maintenance planning, repair forecasting and dependable material availability are becoming increasingly important.
As the South African distributor for Bergolin wind blade repair systems, Aerontec supplies specialist products including:
- Water-based topcoats
- Fast-curing fillers
- Polyurethane leading edge protection systems
- Emerging UV-curing repair technologies
Field repairs often happen under difficult conditions where timing, weather windows and material performance all matter at the same time.
Reliable local stockholding and technical support become especially important when repair schedules are tight and downtime costs are high.
With experienced technical staff, national warehousing infrastructure and local stockholding of key repair materials, Aerontec is well positioned to support the growing wind energy maintenance sector with the products and service levels required for successful field repairs.
Wrap-Up
As operational environments continue evolving across both manufacturing and renewable energy sectors, dependable technical support and stable supply chains remain critical.
Whether supporting composite manufacturing customers locally or assisting wind energy maintenance operations with specialist repair systems, Aerontec remains focused on practical support, technical reliability and long-term customer relationships.
And while our email domain has changed, the team behind the support remains exactly the same.
Same people. Same technical support. Same composites focus.
