Hey there,
March has been an exciting and insightful month for Aerontec. From connecting with global partners at JEC World in Paris to closely monitoring shifts in the composites supply chain. Here’s what’s been happening:
Aerontec at JEC World 2026 with Biesterfeld
Aerontec was proud to attend JEC World 2026 in Paris as part of the Biesterfeld Group, marking another strong presence at the world’s leading composites exhibition. With a large and highly visible stand for the second consecutive year, Biesterfeld continues to reinforce its growing role in advanced composites distribution. The event created valuable opportunities to connect with colleagues across the global network, as well as customers and supplier partners.
A particular highlight was Aerontec-supported applications featured across multiple exhibitor booths – a great reflection of collaboration in action.
- AXSport Aviation presented carbon fibre constant-speed propellers using Sicomin resin systems and Aerontec-supplied blade materials
- A T320-infused transom board, produced by Aerontec, was showcased on the Maricell stand
- A Mycell-infused surfboard demonstrated lightweight structural performance in sports applications
- Advanced Fibre Form displayed prepreg components using Sicomin SiPreg systems, including a hockey stick, speargun, and carbon sports case
These real-world examples highlight how strong partnerships transform materials into high-performance composite solutions.
Market Update - Middle East Supply Chain Disruption
We’d like to highlight a developing situation that may begin to impact the global composites supply chain. Ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East are already influencing energy markets, petrochemical feedstocks, and logistics capacity. While the full impact is still unfolding, the composites industry is directly exposed through several key areas.
Raw material availability may tighten, particularly for products derived from hydrocarbon feedstocks such as resins, solvents, and core materials. At the same time, rising energy costs could place upward pressure on pricing, as many composite materials require energy-intensive production processes.
Logistics is another area to watch. Airfreight capacity through major Middle Eastern hubs is currently constrained, with delays and increased rates already being observed. Sea freight routes may also face disruption, leading to longer transit times and more complex routing.
What this means in practice:
- Potential price increases across selected product groups
- Longer or less predictable lead times
- Greater importance of forward planning and demand visibility
Aerontec is actively monitoring the situation across suppliers and logistics channels. Our focus remains on maintaining continuity of supply, and we will communicate transparently should conditions change.
Where possible, we encourage customers to review near-term requirements and engage early with our team – particularly for critical or long-lead items.
